No more cardboard box for me!!
I got a job offer today!!! It was for Trichero wine estates (a fairly large wine company) as a lab tech for the harvest. it pays really well for an interny position and i have a pretty good chance of getting hired full time at the end of the summer.
I also got called in for two second interviews. The first was for Cargill, which is a food distributor and I would be working full time doing quality assurance at a meat packing facility in Fresno. granted, i dont really want to live in Fresno, and I dont want to be working in a meat packing plant, but I would be getting paid a disgusting amount of money including some awesome benefits. woohoo for fortune five hundred corporations.
The second was for the small ultra premium winery where I would also be doing lab tech work for the harvest. i would be getting paid the least here but the people are AMAZING and i love the winery. plus they are building a second state-of-the-art lab that should open next year that they may need a new lab manager for... ahem...
I am not sure which one I should go for... it all comes down to priority. do i care more about money, learning lab techniques/industry, or working with really cool people? only time will tell.
