so yesterday, exactly one day before my nineteenth birthday, i went skydiving. no, seriously. and it was the most amazing thing possibly ever. you take like a 30 min class on all the risks and stuff and what goes down when you actually jump so youre ready for it... then you get all geared up - jumpsuit, harness, etc. then you wait. and wait some more. the clouds have to be just right otherwise you can't see the landing pad. so the clouds are right, and i get in the plane with my instructor, and erika and austin and their instructors. the plane is a little bitty scary rickety one, but i deal... and although it was 89 degrees outside, up 14,000 feet it was COLD. i get all hooked up to my instructor (his name was pete, he has been "jumping since '79" and was basically the most badass old guy ever; although erika got the hot british guy and i was slightly jealous) and im kneeling off the edge of the plane... then we roll out and do like a backflip during the freefall.... which is the most intense thing EVER. I got to pull the parachute cord, and pete steered us into some clouds which was SURREAL, then we did spins and craziness....
all in all, AMAZING.
