~WATER~
The water is warm.
Unfamiliar bodies move around you while you stay still, face down holding your breath. You feel sick but you’re getting used to it.
The pain is too thick to fight. You just let it overwhelm you.
How hard is to drown in a pool? How stupid are you? Would anybody notice you on the pale blue bottom?
Your arms hurt, your legs hurts, your lungs hurt. But the only person who can heal you is not waiting for you anymore.
You wore her out.
That’s what you do best. You screw people then you screw them up.
But this time you care. And with your eyes closed you can only see hers wounded.
No, you won’t drown in a pool but you feel you’d deserve it.

~SMIRK~
It’s late at night. Brenda knows she should be heading home, but Sharon is on the other side of the desk pinning her uncomfortably with those flashing green eyes. When she stands, Brenda wants to stop her, stop everything. It’s all wrong, it can’t be happening again. Why does she have so little control over it? “I have to go home.”
“I know.” Sharon confirms, getting closer.
“I hate it when you laugh.”
“I’m not laughing, barely smiling.”
“It’s a damn smirk.”
“I think you love it.”
“I do not.”
“I think you love it because you know what’s next.”
