I've realised that the Gryffindor population of the school tends to have violent, oppressive urges to WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. It could be a genetic trait, but it is bothersome, nonetheless. Capitals make our eyes hurt

I think they're just doing a very good job of reducing impression points on anyone they meet.

Exactly my point. Thing is, when you yell all the time, it not only defeats the purpose of emphasis, it becomes rather annoying.

Isn't it general knowledge that Slytherins don't do nice? And appropriate is relative.
