Sam opens the door to room seven quietly, being mindful that it’s still early morning here. She goes into her room and sets her things down, then goes to Cassie’s room to see if the early bird is still getting up with the sunrise

Billy hears the knock and staggers out of bed, still dressed in shorts and shirt and walks to the door. Rubbing sleep out of his eyes, he opens it.

Then he blinks.

Then he comes very quickly awake.

"Good morning."

She smiles.

"Good morning. Sorry to wake you up. I had a hunch Cassie was here."

He grins, blushing slightly and nods.

"Yeah, She is sleeping on the couch. Come on in."

he leaves the door open all the way and leads her back inside, walking to the couch and kneeling down next to Casie's sleeping form.

A soft look comes over his face, and Sam frankly completely exits his mind as he looks at Cassie. For about two minutes, 'till he remembers why he is waking her up.

"Cassie, Cassie, wake up."

Cassie, for once, did not wake up with the sun. One of those rare occassions when she's not sick but just tired or comfortable enough that her brain and body go ..eeeh.. a little more sleep won't kill us.

And thus the first thing she knows is Billy's voice.

Sleepily, "mmm? Billy?
Whatswrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, Cassie. Sam's back and she is ah, here."

He glances back at her and grins, then looks at Cassie.

"Think you are awake enough to talk to her?"

One of his hands finds it's way to one of her's and holds it.

The brain is working sloooow this morning.

"..Sam?" She frowns a little and then looks beyond Billy and sees Sam, her amused expression in all of it's glory. "Hello, sleepyhead."

"Sam!" She grins and almost squeels. "You're back!"

She smiles and leans down to hug Cassie. "Yes. I'm sorry I was gone for so long and missed your birthday and everything." A truely sorry look.

"Did you have a good birthday? And did you get my present?"

Billy grins as he goes to drag a comb through his hair and grab some iced teas from the fridge.

"You two want breakfast?"

"Billy gave me a kitty! And. Things.

Oooh and and! We went flying! Twice! And! Swimming..well, not really swimming as much as jet ski'ing and then fell off which led to a bit of swimming! Anddddd um um OH we went somewhere! I don't know where but we went through the stargate! Not the one we built but that one!" She points to the painted Stargate on the wall. "And I don't know where we went but it was Chel'nak! And it didn't whoosh! And it had three suns!! And there was this thingie which had goop but it was really really good goop!

Oh and I got your present Yay thank you! OOH AND guess what! Mom gave me one toooo!! I got it with a card the same time I got yours! eee!"

He grins, leaning on the kitchen counter and watching them both. he woinces when she mentions the magic and then sighs.

He puts ice in glasses and pours the iced tea, then walks back in and hands each of them one.

Sam is laughing a little at Cassie by the time she finishes her bouncy talk but at the same time she's got thoughts and things in the back of her head.

Janet left a present?
Does that mean she knew she was going to be gone this long?

She and Cassie take their drinks. Sam sips hers and Cassie pulls Billy down next to her.

"So..you went through a wall and ended up on another planet," Sam starts thoughtfully.

Cassie shakes her head.
"No, it was the Stargate. Well. I mean, no. But it acted like it was! Except for the whooshing."

Sam raises an eyebrow.

"You walk through a puddle of water every day and you're looking at me like I'm crazy?"

Sam laughs. "So how are things otherwise?"

He steadfastly doesnt eep when she pulls him down and grins.

"Well, they were shaky, earthquake shaky, a bit, but things are nice now. And Cassie is here, which is nice. Quiet here, anyway. Well, okay, not quiet, but not things happening, you know? How are things on your Earth?"

Billy? Can babble with the best of them.

Insert concerned look here.
"There were earthquakes? Things are obviously better now, right?

Was it serious?"

"There was an almost Doomsday, but it was stopped and the threat is over. A lot happenned in this last few days."

He grins.

"But we made it through."

His hand grips Cassie's and he smiles a soft smile at her.

"Thanks in part to you."

She smiles back at him and lays her head on his shoulder.

"I didnt do anything big. A lot of other people did far more."

he smiles at her.

"So, ah, how were things back home?"
