We tried asking a New York shuttle driver how to get to the A train. His response: "Ya godda take dee A train ta get ta dee A train" WTF!?
Once we got there we realized that all of Times square was already closed off. ALso we needed tickets. It was only like 8 pm. We were pretty buzzed. Then Yonnie suggested that I whip out my military ID and show it. I didnt think it would work. The first time I tried it, the cop goes "its not my call, try one block over:". So we did and the guy goes, ok I can let you in here but good luck on the next block. The next block was a little tougher. I the guys said "this expired in 2002." I was like "Sir congress enacted stop loss and extended everyone's term" The cop was like "ok, follow me" Then he drops us off and says this is as far as I can take you. Try to blend in. " There was one more checkpoint and I said "Sir we dont have tickets all I have is my military ID and I drove here with my 2 friends from California" He says "If you got a military ID thats good enough fa me" So we got it woot!!!

Then I rented a car. And I got stranded in Burlington Vermont one night cause I missed my bus to montreal. Also I should mention. The day I left for LAX from my apartment, I could feel my throat getting sore and I new I was gonna be sick on my trip. I essentially peaked this night in Vermont. My fever was so bad that I was hallucinating thinking I was playing some kind of game based on random number scoring. I did not sleep a wink, almost crashed from sleep deprivation, it was sub zero temperatures and I felt alone, and stranded and feverish, I was cold sweating and I felt like it was the worst trip ever. Around noon the next day after still no sleep I eventually turned in my retal car and took the bus to Montreal, after drugging myself up on Bayer, dayquill and eventually pepto bismol cause I ate indian food in montreal which then also gave me the stomach flu. It was not until the 4th, my last real siteseeing day that I got better. Then finally I was able to enjoy it. By then I knew I was leaving the next day. =( anyways. Here are some pix from Montreal.

Overall it was a fun trip. NOt great cause I got so fucking sick. But I had a good time in the end. I was disapointed in the fact that I did not get to use my French much. Only with about 4 ppl. Everyone else was bilingual (English and French). Oh well. I would recommend Montreal. Just dont get sick, and it is probably better in the summer. No fun having a fever in sub-freezing conditions. On the last day everything came together, my fever went away and it was no longer below freezing. Not included are : The Montreal Quebec History museum and the Montreal Musee du baux arts (museum of fine arts). Did not really think to take a picture, plus it was late at night.
