I'm afraid I made a nuisance of myself at a meeting last week. No-one wanted
to know that the reason a project that I wrote a specification for isn't
ready is
that we didn't check it the three times that it needs. I didn't
actually get around to saying that, though; I just kind of ranted for a while.
My boss wasn't too happy with me afterwards.

Berlin #14, Jason Lutes, Drawn and Quarterly:
Communist landlord Zweig calls in a favour to deal with a deadbeat, and...
you guessed it. It's not just the avowed fascists that are forsaking
temporary solutions. Rachel gets a respite from starvation
from a Jewish friend whose grandfather breaks into their argument about the
ex-Kaiser with an exposition of Nathan and David that finally made sense to
me. The Cola Kids sign a deal to play at a new place, and the
ink is hardly dry before the hijinks (or perhaps lojinks)
start. Marthe's mother visits her at
Anna's place to try to convince her to visit her father in Cologne, but
nothing doing. Finally, Severing, the journalist whose arrival kicked off
this whole story, waxes drunkenly cynical on recent political
developments, while a parade marches off to a rally in reaction to the death
of Horst Wessel.
I'm mostly just glad that the artist gets everyone's name in at least once,
since it's kind of a long time between issues.

The trouble with making 7 servings of chickpea mushroom tofu stew is that
I end up eating chickpea mushroom tofu stew for lunch and dinner for three
days straight, because, of course, I am far too lazy to cook when I can
just reheat something from the fridge.
