Love it! (In fact, I have a friend in mind to show it to as well.)

I still haven't committed to forwarding it to the appropriate parties... My bastard-fu is strained, at the moment. ;)

I posted this on my FB a few days ago, as well. I have some family members who are wonderful people, but polar opposites of me politically. I admit (with a little shame, but not much) that sometimes I post things like this just to poke the crazy a little bit. :-)

See, I'm 95% sure that 95% of my flist are crazy left-wing nutjobs like myself, so I have no problem posting it here. The crazies... well, I'm only contemplating poking the one because they keep forwarding right wing "humor" screeds mocking my beliefs to... well, everyone who ever emailed them, I think.

I have a few family members on FB who are polar opposites of me politically, and they just don't comment on my political postings any more. We've agreed to disagree, and we just avoid politics. I actually can understand some of their concerns, but as long as they want to believe Faux News and Rush Limpballs, discussion is kind of a bad idea. We're all a little quick-tempered and capable of saying reallly nasty shit to each other.

Fortuitously, my family members are civilized enough not to talk politics over dinner and such, so I'm not even 100% sure where they fall for the most part. Since I mainly see them at big family events, we all get to happily assume the others are intelligent people who agree with us. With no online connection, there's nothing to pierce that happy little bubble.

Which is also fortunate, because we can be stereotypical bullheaded diaspora Irish at times, and it likely wouldn't end well.

Just letting you know I've got the link, and I've got the tab open for reference, but I need some time where I'm not all flighty over other things to sit and read critically.

I've discovered I have only a couple conservative friends - go figure - and most of them are sane and want to distance themselves from what the conservatives in the US are becoming. Thank heaven. I don't mind talking with someone who disagrees with how to interpret the world - just talking with people who have no real understanding of the world and operate on soundbites and ignorance. :p

This is one of the reasons I don't FB yet. The people I lost touch with in my youth... most of them can stay lost, and I don't want the drama of explaining that. :p

*sigh*

I wish I could send this to my parents without causing World War III.

It really is. Especially since it's so ruddy hard to escape/avoid.

Gracefully, at least, yeah. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with much family crazy, and none at all online, really.
