The Craft of the Weisenheimer

So, 'tis the season...

For creepy craft projects, that is. ragnvaeig sent me a link to a crochet piece that reminded of a pattern I saw a long time back for eyeballs. Thus, nothing for it but that I had to crank out a half a dozen and see what I could come up with. The very first was spoken for at last craft night, where it made quite a splash, but the remaining handful are as follows (again, click to embiggen)...

Version 1.1

Version 2.0

Version 2.1

Version 2.2

Version 3.0
(incomplete)
So, as you can see, version 3.0 is incomplete. I started it after I actually looked into the gross anatomy of the eye, and I'm debating whether I care at all about realism, or squidge-factor. Thus, I'm interested in what people think of the various designs... favorite, least favorite, most disturbing, cutest... if I were going to try to sell more than one of these, which do you think you'd be more likely to buy, and why?

The likeness to a "goth shuttlecock" also came up. I'm kind of wondering if covering the ball with something prone to more drag and inelastic collisions would keep the game playable, though (I'm 100% sure I could find goths who want to play gothified badminton).

For the record, I don't really have a pattern for any of them. I just... wait for it... eyeballed it!
