Random Updates
So one of the things they had my daddy on was a 'happy ball'. Okay so they didn't really call it a happy ball but I call it a happy ball cause that's basicly its job - struggle to make you happy. so this happy ball was filled with pain killer medicine and was threadded with a needle right into dad's shoulder so it could disperse the pain medicine contiously into the area of sergery (oh I should say now I'm too lazy to spell check... just to warn you). Well we were told to take it out once it was deflated. Mom called me and told me the length of the needle since the nurse didn't know and said it could varry... eight. Eight inches of needle was stuck in my dad's shoulder.... ouch!!!
Other than that he's looking good. Still hurts but he is finally finding ways he can sleep which is good since the first day he couldn't even find ways to sit comfortably. yay for daddy!!
On another note in I'm in the sandbox of the world... dear god there is sand everywhere... lots of palmtrees around the city but when we went out to the sand dunes yesterday... dear god I was sick to my stomach... there was nothing there.... I didn't think I'd get queezy like that... but dude... I didn't like it. Today we are heading to san deigo and the ocean so I can see the pacific. I can't wait to see water again!!! cause seriously... there isn't ANY here.... yeah... I think I'll stay in michigan and make Shawn move up here instead. haha.
All in all I"m having a blast though. Shawns a great friend and I've had a chance to meet the vast majority of her friends and have quality hang out time with all of them since she works nights - so they take turns staying the night with me. We watch movies and anime and yeah - its fun. They are great people and ones I wouldn't mind hanging out more with. They've all said I was more than welcome to come back too. ^_^ Maybe in a few years once I have the money saved up again. haha. So far my total spent for this trip is $335. Not bad if you ask me since that's including the plane tickets. I'm happy I decided to splurge for it. Seriously, its quite the experiance to know how much I wouldn't be able to live here.... >.< haha
oh and side note - I decided a cold shower would feel good since even with the ac its hot... yeah... the water never gets cold here.... never. damn it!
