Brand new year
Happy New Year folks!
Currently typing this while i'm in the train home. Was watching Kouhaku and part of cdtv at a friend's place earlier and my thoughts?
Ok Kouhaku first. I thought Nao and Arashi did pretty well as the hosts as they didn't have much hiccups. I'm particularly impressed with Nao and I have to say I prefer her way of hosting as compared to Nakama. And she's like 25 years old dake?
The only thing about both hosts are the chemistry. Whenever I see the boys talk I have the feeling that Nao's being left aside for a while and you can feel that they are standing 'separately' whenever they're standing together.
Another thing I noticed was the height problem. (笑) Nao practically wore flats all the way since she's tall and well the boys are not very tall to start with too. Aiba should be about the same height as Nao but while watching it seemed as if she was taller! Haha.
Performances wise, Monster was good coz' they did a bit of a diff dance (and used the music from concert) before they started singing! I was like 'Kyaa' when I heard that familiar tune from concert. =)
Ok next. Smap. Their cdtv performance was so much better than kouhaku. It was like a mini concert! They sang a total of 8 songs like Shake, Dear Woman, Lionheart, Yozora etc... The crowd was fantastic too. It was really nice to see Smap dancing to these songs again. I need HD for this definitely. Haha. Oh, Nakai appeared with a helmut on when he giri giri reached cdtv and, Kimura forgot part of his yozora lines. Cute over here.
Oh, managed to watch Countdown too. Didn't expect Arashi to perform at nhk's rooftop. Haha! Can see that they were really relieved since they were all smiles during their performance here. Otsukare guys!
Ok. Phone's going low batt on me so i'm stopping here.
