Hope Christmas Eve was good for all of you.
Basically I stayed at home for the whole of today and I practically did nothing much besides saving some mag scans(I'm swearing off buying of mags till the year ends. Wait, the year's ending soon anyway.) and waiting for MSSL to start. Oh, ate a lot of junk food today too. Bubble tea, rainbow donut, choco ripple ice cream... Gonna eat less tomorrow. -_-"
Talking about earlier's MSSL, I'm very happy with SMAP and Arashi's performances.
SMAP first.
Listening to them singing Orenji was simply nostalgic.
I can't even remember when was the last time they actually sang this on tv. Probably during their ending song specials in sxs years ago?
Anyway, it was really nice to hear them sing it again. The only complain I have? Their attire omg (purple army-like attire? fail.). Other than that I think I'm pretty ok with them in overall. =)
As for Arashi.
My fav performance was actually their opening song Wish.
I like the arrangement for this as they sang together with the kids choir. the whole bunch of kids in white really added on to the nice Christmas atmosphere I'm getting from the whole performance. I was like ROFL at Arashi's attire(think black/red with a Scottish feel?) when they first come out in the opening but whatever, they're still cute. You get quite a bit of Sakumiya in this performance and Sho's really quite high in this song from the start. Worth repeating to see Sho raising his hand up like an Egyptian. XD And Jun's hair... I think I'm pretty used to it now and I actually find it nice in the MS performance earlier. One more thing, Did Ohmiya wore matching shoes or what? (laughs)
Oh, before they sang their main melody, they celebrated Aiba's 28th by singing him a birthday song and then pushing a strawberry cake out for him. He was surprised and went maji? maji? a lot of times before he blew the candles and ate one strawberry from the cake. =)
I wonder if they went Keikarou after the show since they're in Chiba now.
Ok. we're about 15 minutes away to 12 midnight at home while it's already past 12 in Japan and so...
