AN: It follows the storyline of Crows 1 and 2 but there's an added character inside called Iguchi Remi. I've actually written quite a fair bit but whether or not I'll post the entire story up is another thing so I'll see how it goes. =)
“Give me five minutes to settle something.”
Remi gave Izaki a puzzled look as he sat down by the porch at Suzuran’s courtyard. When Remi had wanted to continue asking, Izaki looked past her and when she turned over, a guy who also donned Suzuran’s uniform walked towards them. Remi did not have a good feeling about it as both Izaki and the guy’s gaze were intense.
“Is it true that you’re joining forces with us to fight them?”
“Of course, Takiya Genji.”
Takiya Genji. Remi made a mental note at the newcomer’s name as she sat down beside Izaki.
“But on one condition that I will be the one to fight Serizawa when the day comes.”
Remi was surprised to hear Serizawa’s name and it suddenly dawned on her that their conversation actually referred to the conquering of their own school. She frowned and waited for Genji’s reply.
“Huh?” Genji mumbled.
Seconds later, two groups of students appeared from behind and to the left of Genji and he noticed it at once.
“Nothing’s fair in a war Genji. You’re too naïve for your own good.” Izaki smirked but his gaze at Genji remained firm.
When the group behind went forward to attack, Genji jumped up and delivered a kick to his first attacker and the fight between the boys and him started.
“Izaki.” Remi whispered but he continued looking at the sight. She then heard people running from behind and when she turned back, another group of boys came and jumped to attack Genji. Three boys managed to grab hold of him while another started attacked him on the face and stomach.
“You’re testing him.” She commented as she remained as an onlooker though she would pretty much love to stop the fight herself.
“I’m impressed at your observation, Iguchi Remi.” Izaki grinned as he leaned towards Remi as Genji was being thrown to the right of him.
He turned back to see Genji covered in blood and blue-black marks as another student stepped on him forcefully on the stomach.
“I had to give you a chance out of respect for Makise.”
Izaki stood up and slipped his hands into his pocket as he looked at Genji. Remi turned around as well but remained seated.
“You won’t be able to beat Serizawa at all.”
A fallen Genji smiled and spit as he stood up slowly but steadily and stared at Izaki.
“I’m not finished yet. Baka.”
Just as Genji was about to head forward to attack Izaki, the latter’s companions’ stroke first and hit him directly on the face once more. As the fight continued, Remi glanced up at Izaki whose facial expressions changed as he looked on.
“You finally found him interesting as much as I do.” Remi smiled as she stood up and stood beside Izaki.
“Maybe.”
The increase in men attacking Genji did not daunt him at all and instead, he fought harder than before and he managed to stand on his feet each time he fell but in reality, just one person was not enough to handle more than thirty men launching at him at a time.
Genji finally fell in front of Remi and blacked out when one of them delivered the decisive blow on his head. A few students wanted to continue but they stopped in their tracks when Remi looked up and stared at them.
“Shun. It’s enough.”
Izaki glanced at a fallen Genji and pondered for a few moments before he carried the latter up and slung him onto his shoulders before he walked.
“Alright. Those injured had better head for the first aid room at once!”
Remi shouted before she turned to follow Izaki.
“Have you decided?” Remi asked as they went up the stairs that led to Genji’s classroom. Izaki looked at her and shrugged as they continued walking. When they reached the entrance to Genji’s classroom, Chuta and Makise were inside and they stood to their guard at once upon seeing them.
“GENJI!” Chuta shouted at once as Izaki came forward and placed Genji onto the table while Makise took another table to allow more resting space for him. Remi chose to stand by the door to listen instead.
“Why did you all decide to follow him?” Izaki asked as he threw a glance at Genji.
“No particular reason at all. Even if I had one I wouldn’t know how to explain it.” Makise replied.
Izaki thought for a short while before he turned back and headed for the door but stopped just in front of Remi before he spoke for the last time.
“Tell him that I’ll teach him how to play darts when he recovers.”
Remi grinned as Izaki walked off and she finally stepped into the room to greet the bewildered duo.
“You know what Izaki means right? Remember to tell that guy behind you.”
Both of them turned and looked at Genji as realization finally hit them.
“My name’s Remi and I think you all will be seeing me more often from now on! Tell Genji that I find him interesting too!”
Remi bowed and ran out to catch up with Izaki while both Chuta and Makise were still in shock.
“Uso…” Makise muttered under his breath as he held Genji up.
“Genji sure has his ways…” Chuta smiled as he slapped a hi-five with Makise.
