I was going to post some dumb " i haven't updated in a while" thing, but its amazing how something can become so trivial so quickly.
i called my mom earlier and found out she was in a car accident. she has some injuries, nothing too serious - but she spent the night in the hospital. she was loading groceries in her car when a car slammed head on into hers and sent her flying from the vehicle. the driver of the other car was dead before he hit, apparently his weight was pushing on the gas pedal. my mom's really freaked out by the whole thing, and i am too.
its fucking bizarre, all of it really. that her life was spared, that this guy dying was what caused it. i see people who are essentially dead almost every day and yet it does nothing to prepare me for things like this. life is fragile, and fate/free will/chance events - the possibility of any of these makes my head hurt to think of for too long
