I'm in Geography right now. Im pretty pissed off! Last nite i wrote a reallllllly long journal entry and somehow it got deleted! So i dont really know what to say....dont feel like talking really. Finals suck majorly. All i want to put in here is a quote that i read in A Purpose Driven Life. It sums up everything im going through right now

what i dont understand about you is that you make it seem like you are trying to live your life for god and everything, like reading a purpose driven life, but you drink and smoke every weekend and you try so hard to fit in with the high school social scene that you dont stop to think twice about doing any of it. it kind of makes me mad because i wonder how you can spend so much time TALKING about god and living for him yet spend so little time actually living up to your comments. i know people make mistakes every once in a while and im not saying that its totally wrong because we are all human, but cmon man ----- almost every weekend? thats not a mistake, thats a habit. just think about it the next time you tell someone 'god is there for you' or 'just trust in god cuz he has a reason for everything'. you cant preach about god to other people and actually expect them to listen if you dont even try to be close to god and live your life through him.

and dont get mad because i said that. im not trying to get you to change everything you do, im just trying to get my point across and hopefully have you actually think about what i said instead of getting worked up and angry over it. i dont want to try to hurt your feelings or be mean. i just want you to think about what i said.

Okay, if you are going to leave a comment like that, at least tell me who this is so i can talk to you about in a civilized manner instead of leaving comments in my online journal about it. Actually, im not mad at what you said, just kind of....um....offended? You think i do it almost every weekend, but i dont. I haven't done ANYTHING since Christmas break, and before that it was 2 months. I was even sober on New Year's Eve. I used to be bad about it, but im not anymore, really. And you think that i'm not close to God and that i dont trust Him and everything, but actually this is a time in my life where i trust him the most. Because this is His way of testing me, and yes sometimes i do fall down and sometimes i DO have trouble getting back up, but in the end i always do because i know that this is testing my faith, and that i need to pull through. Just because i'm going through a tough time and God seems distant doesnt mean that i dont trust Him or i am not close with Him. I mean i can really see where you are coming from thinking that way, but i really AM changing. and the reason i am reading A Purpose Driven Life is to help me and guide me. I really want to know who this and talk about it with you, though. You obviously know my s/n.
