Is there a fic that goes with the arts?
No. I worked solo for this one, unfortunately. So much schmoop would have killed my author anyway.
What are the "little" differences between the movie and your prompt?
Tom
Before meeting Juliet, Romeo is desperately in love with a lady called Rosaline. I needed an ex-love interest for Jared (Romeo) so I chose Tom (Welling). That guy is in half of the J2 RPS so.. It was him or Chad Michael Murray anyway.
The fish tank scene
When Romeo sees Juliet for the first time, he sees her through a fish tank that separates the ladies room from the men's room. Jared and Jensen being both men, they couldn't be on two different sides of the fish tank if the fish tank was a wall in the men's room (I'm not sure it's very clear
). As I wrote in one of the texts between the arts and to avoid this problem, the fish tank is now in a corridor of the Capulet Mansion.
Paris Hilton
In the movie, the most eligible bachelor of Verona Beach, Dave Paris, played by Paul Rudd is very interested in Juliet and wants to marry her. I don't know what you think about but it's impossible for me to hate Paul Rudd. In addition, Paris in the movie is not really a bad guy. However, for my prompt I needed a love interest for Jensen that people would love to hate and who would be completely ridiculous, improbable and exasperating at the same time (male or female) I then thought of Paris Hilton because, let's face the truth, in the "Most exasperating person called Paris" category, Paris Hilton comes first. Why marrying Jensen? Because she needed a new handbag boyfriend, somebody to star with her in her new reality show. A wedding with a big heir like Jensen would make all her friends jealous. Other ideas: Gwyneth Paltrow, The Situation from Jersey Shore and Kim Kardashian.
The design of your art is inspired by...
The movie itself, of course, more particularlty the design of the Bluray and the DVD box set but also by the Hawaiian shirt Romeo is wearing in the movie.
There are a lot of arts... O___o
Oh yeah!! Don't tell me about it. There should have been 4 arts (the party, the wedding, the wedding night and the death scene) but things went out of hand and I finally ended up with a dozen of arts not to mention the graphite sketches for the text pages. As I am completely nuts, I added 5 more arts for the soundtrack. I started more than two months ago when I was still living in Tokyo. I think it will be one of my last big projects for this fandom (I am still working on one) because now that I moved out from Tokyo to my home town Paris, and that I am not living on my own anymore, I don't have as much time as I used to (I addition, I created all these arts at a time when my insomnias problems were getting worse). Don't expect so many arts for my Big Bang prompts. I think I will draw 5 arts per prompt (You are the one with your finger on the gun by
akintay and Ace by
likeanything )
It's schmoopy as hell...
After this prompt I think that Harlequin Books are going to hire me to draw the cover arts of their books. I tried to draw an alternative end, far less schmoopy but I gave up. I really wonder why, my idea was awesome
Jensen's halo, how does it work?
It's a neon light, it's too big to work with batteries so Jensen has a long long wire with an electrical plug . It's not very convenient but it's not visible on the arts, so it's ok, I guess. (ok, I'm going to bed...
)
Voilà!
I hope you enjoyed this post! See you on Monday on my other account,
petite_madame , for a post devoted to my June Calendar before taking a small break.
