Thoughts...
I liked this last episode. For a while there I was getting really tired with the direction they were taking with some of the characters but for now at least, they're evolving in a way that is more appealing to me.
- Lex's lies are finally catching up to him and it's about time. This version of Lex Luthor is my favorite version ever. Rosenbaum has made Lex into such a complex character as opposed to Hackman or Spacey. There's only so much you can do with an over-the-top megalomaniac as he is portrayed in the movies. Of course, in a TV series you have a greater amount of time to really develop a character as complex as Lex.
- I hate to say this but I am actually starting to warm back up to Lana. For a while there I couldn't stand her and was rooting for Clark to move on. However, I like how her character has evolved. She's gone from a whiny naive girl to a woman who has been scarred by too many lies (from both Lex and Clark.) Some people have said that Lana is a hypocrite for lying to Lex but I look at that as an evolution of the character as a result of everything she has gone through. She has been manipulated so much by the Luthors that she is finally learning to be a manipulator herself.
- Looking forward to the fight between Clark and the "super soldier." I hope this becomes a fight like the one between Clark and Kane. I've been waiting through this entire show to see Clark get really angry and totally unleash his powers on someone. I hope we get to see that again.
- I'm not looking forward to Noir at all.
