Prayer

"I am asking everyone who believes in the power of prayer, to join together in prayer for my special friend Mattie.
Mattie Stepanek is a little 11-year old boy we met back in October on the Show. He is a poet and a peacemaker and he absolutely inspires anybody who meets him with his powerful spirit and his book of poetry he calls "Heartsongs."
Now Mattie is a medical miracle. He was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy that confines him to a wheelchair. His mother also has the same condition. She is in a wheelchair herself and she lost three other children who died because of it before she knew that she was carrying the gene. Mattie is in a constant battle for his health. Last summer he came very close to dying.
Well Mattie and I now e-mail each other all the time. We are friends. So I asked Mattie recently what he wanted for Christmas. I said, 'Mattie, I'll give you anything you want, anything at all
