Yes or no.

Planning an event... it's easy when people don't BAIL!

How lame is it to TEXT me the night before an event and say he/she isn't going. (&@*#!%)
-or-
I text you to make sure you're attending and you say you're not without any prior notice. (Was I just going to call you tomorrow morning to check where you were?? Then you tell me you're not going to make it.)

People! Manners! If you get an email mentioning an event you're not able to attend, you email the sender and tell him/her that you cannot make the event. You do NOT not respond. NOR do you say you're going, suggest some ideas and then not reply or contact the sender the night before or the day of the event and claim you can't make it.

I would rather you tell me you're not going to attend from the beginning. This way I don't count on your attendance to aid in the preparation and then you bail with no warning.

I always knew not to rely on people and I usually don't, but when a large group is involved and it's not just me, reliance is important.

It's just common curtiousy. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Communication, kids. It's the key to life.
