(no subject)
It has been an eventful (in different ways) last couple of days for me. Saturday was spent running errands all day. My mom and I went to the mall because we needed to get fathers day gifts, co-workers gifts (my mom), and all that jazz. We went into Borders which was a mistake for me because of course I walked out with $100 in books. Well not all the books are for me, 2 of them are mine and 2 of them are gifts for my dad. I got him a book on plumbing because he wants to learn/get better at it. The other book is on stone work for like your yard or building like a stone fireplace...it's pretty cool. He's into both those things so I figured they would be good. I bought two books for myself which I shouldn't have because I already have a stack I haven't read but I couldn't resist. I got both a fiction book and a memoir but they both sounded way to good to pass up.
We got graduation gifts for my cousin Vanessa who just graduated from a university in San Fransisco. Our family friend Marissa just graduated from CWU so we got her a gift as well. Her party was on Sunday so we went to that and I haven't seen most of those people since about Christmas so there was lots of stuff to talk about. So I ended up not making it to Bryce's party because we spent so long at Marissa's.
Then the rest of Saturday was grocery shopping which turned out to be great. We bought a few movies at Fred Meyer and the drum set to Guitar Hero, before getting actual food stuff. Saturday night was spent playing Guitar Hero and after a few hours I was not that bad on the drums. I will say that if you consider yourself to be an athletic person you will never feel so un-coordinated in your entire life. I guess real drummers wouldn't feel that way when playing that game but everyone else will. Most of the songs I had to play on easy (beginner was for the first two songs then I stepped it up to easy) but a few that I played fairly decent on easy I then tried to play on medium. A few of them we kept getting kick off because I sucked and it was on medium so we gave up.
