Nothing interesting happened

I've seen almost nothing and spent most of the evening underground. Because not only I went to the wrong line, I also sat on the train going into other direction *facepalms*

So during the lunch I went out, exchanged some money, went to look for camera... found great panini place, Photoshop (AKA Camera Cafe) and British Museum, lol 5 minutes walk from the office! I'm thinking of going there on Thursday or Friday, because they have late closing times then, and most interesting (for me) galleries are opened - ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece.
Maybe I should go to National Gallery tomorrow? They're open till 9 pm...

After work I went to hotel to change (it was cold very wet and uncomfortable in skirt and shirt, despite me wearing tights ~_~) and then decided to go for a walk somewhere around Tower of London. So I walked to the Notting Hill Gate station, thinking that I'll go to Circle or District and then straight to the Tower Hill.
HA!
I stopped thinking somewhere midway down and found myself walking towards Central line.
"Okay," - I thought, - "I'll change for Circle on Bank"
and turned to the Westbound platform. When in reality I needed Eastbound train.
I've noticed my mistake at Shepherd's Bush, looked at the map and thought:
"Okay, then I'll go to Ealing Broadway and change to District line".

Around East Acton I listened closely to the announcement and learned that this train actually is bound for West Ruislip.
...
Oh well, at least I've had doubtful pleasure of looking at lines of identical brick houses on both sides of the train, and webbing of wires around the train lines.

So I got out in North Acton, waited for the next train, got to Ealing Broadway... and choose the slowest train possible! I swear, I saw at least 3 trains breezing by - and thats not counting two trains that left Ealing Broadway earlier despite getting there later!
So by the time I got back to London it was dark already and I was hungry.

So without even looking at London's Bridge (nevermind that it wasn't really visible in the dark :) ) I went were most people went. Which turned out to be Dockland & Rail Station. GAH!

So I wandered around for a bit and (somewhere between Monument and Cannon Street) found bar named The Walrus and The Carpenter. Naturally I went inside. Asked if they had any food, got menu, asked about size of the plate... good thing I did.
"Oh, it's not very big", - said the girl I asked, - "About this big", - and she pointed towards the table were two plates were standing.
They were enormous.
"O_O"

No way.

I decided that I'm not going to repeat my omurice experience and left.
Went into Irish pub (with smart casual dresscode - WTF?), some small bar (no food at such time), walked by kaiten-zushiya (they were about to close) and finally gave up and bought Burger King's kids set. It's about the right size for me - I had just enough space left for an ice-cream =3

In-between all this food-searching I saw St.Mary on Hill (?) church with belltower with roof made from intersecting stone archs. V.intersting, but pretty useless, I think.
Also St.Paul's Cathedral. Pretty sad-looking building. Not like it looks bad, or unkept, just that it looks like a sad place.

Note to self:
District is the slowest line of London Underground.
On Blackfriars Circle/District platform to Notting Hill Gate there are couple of italian-owned stands with tasty pastries :)~
If it's raining, you can smell flowers! (there are million of flowers in London, but you can't smell them unless it's raining or watery-powdering or instead of flower smell you'll just feel car exhaust and other unpleasant stuff)
