civic duty served

Who ever thought I would be selected for a jury... much less enjoy it? Well I did. I was shocked to be selected. I never once thought they would choose me to help decide the fate of someone, but they did. It was such a neat experience. I am glad it is over, but I learned a lot. It was my first time in a court room and it was nice being on neutral ground... not the one in trouble or the prosecutor. Now that the case is over, i can tlak about it. It was a complicated DUI case (no breathalyzer test) and we found her guilty.
Anyhow... this week has been quite the interesting week. Too much to go into, but I am glad that I only have weeks like this occasionally. It has been a good week, but there has just been too much. I did learn a lesson... well, not necessarily a lesson... I learned that I value the friends I have. My friends are the people that accept me for who I am and don't leave due to misunderstandings. This isn't saying I lost any friends... I actually gained a new understanding with a friend. Long, but good story.
Well, this must end. Time to return to my schedules programs.
