There's so much to say, and yet, I am so blocked. So I will just tell you about baseball.
Kevin went to Fenway at 7:30 this morning and got in line to try to get standing room only tickets on the Green Monster. A month ago this would have been no problem (the ticket window opens at 9:00 am) as he would have been about 10th in line. However, today, when he showed up, there were already 50 people in line. By the time he got to the ticket window, the only thing available was standing room only in the Grandstands. He took it.
Up on the Green Monster, if you have standing room only tickets, you can lean over the front and look down down down to the field. If you have Grandstand standing room only tickets, there's nowhere to really just lean over and enjoy the view. So we'll pretty much be relegated to finding empty sits, sitting down, getting kicked out when the ticket-holders for those seats arrive, finding new seats, getting kicked out again, etc. Hopefully by the 5th inning everyone who's coming will be there, and we'll just get some truly empty seats. We shall see.
I'm looking forward to a dinner of a Fenway Frank (hot dog, for those who are uninitiated) and soft-serve served in a miniature batting helmet. And if we sit in the right-field Grand Stand, then that is close to Trot Nixon and his cute, cute ass...oops, did I say that out loud?!
