This is a meme. There will be none of this silly "tagging" business. Do it if you feel necessary. Also, none of this timing business. I probably wouldn't have enough people on my friends list to tag anyway, so no worries.
Twenty random facts. Go.
1. Given proper tools, I can remove the brain stem from a deer or elk in under 20 minutes.
2. I can do a similar thing with all of the parts of a computer. (and put the computer back together)
3. My first computer was the original 128k Macintosh, and I am typing this on a PowerBook G4.
4. I am a snob about beer, gin, and scotch. Otherwise, I generally don't drink.
5. There is nothing better than waking up in a tent in the Boundary Waters.
6. I have thrown rocks at endangered species, and gotten paid for it. Also to walk around an abandoned uranium mine. I do not glow green.
7. I drive a mini-van.
8. I see nothing odd about playing with databases on a Friday or Saturday night.
9. I will harmonize with the radio, music playing in stores, or sirens. Or anything else. Preferably people.
10. One of the most annoying things that I have ever encountered are fire alarms that are out of tune with each other.
11. I nearly got in a fight with a kickboxer in Cody, WY. Good thing I didn't. I didn't know that he was a kickboxer at the time. His legs were the size of large hams.
12. For all the time that I spend in front of a computer, I would just as soon be outside. Damn that money thing.
13. The first protest rally that I can remember was against US involvement in El Salvador, sometime in the mid-80s. I remember being cold.
14. My grandmother plays hockey. She is 80. We celebrated her 80th birthday by playing hockey.
15. I detest both Dickens and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
16. I have a darkroom in my basement, though I haven't used it since high school. The chemicals have probably gone bad by now. (though not the fixer)
17. In the right crowd, I can be persuaded to participate in ridiculous eating contests. It has to be a very specific group of people though.
18. I believe that Magic: The Gathering reached its peak of interesting and well-designed cards near Ice Age. It was basically down hill from there. Still a good game though.
19. When I was growing up, I used to go to folk jams with my family.
20. I stop at ridiculous roadside attractions, especially large animals.
