Our seventh round at
smallfandombang has come to an end! I’d like to thank everyone who participated this year and helped make this round a huge success. Whether you were an author or an artist, a beta or a cheerleader, or a someone who left a comment, your participation is appreciated.
I’d especially like to thank our pinch-hit artist, the several artists who stepped up and took on the task of creating artwork for more than one story, and those artists who took chances on fandoms they weren’t familiar with. You have my heartfelt thanks.
For those keeping track, we had 33 stories and/or art created in 32 different fandoms (including crossovers) this round! Beneath the cut you’ll find links to all the stories and accompanying artwork. If you haven’t already checked them out, enjoy! *g*
(Authors, Artists, if you haven't already linked to the accompanying fic/art in your announcement post here at the community, please do so now!)
Master List:
07-Ghost (manga)
The Memory of Snow by Museaway (Frau & Teito Klein, ensemble; PG13)
Summary: Teito has suffered from nightmares for as long as he can remember: brutal images of war with no explanation and no relief-except for the times he was visited by a man in dark robes who his mother insisted was imaginary. The nightmares continue, but the man hasn’t come to him in years.
To escape what he believes is a damaged soul, Teito enters the church and is apprenticed to Bishop Labrador, a friend he’s known since birth. But two months after his seventeenth birthday, he dreams of meeting the Overseer of Heaven, and of the Overseer’s promise to return the memories from Teito’s past life when he reaches the same age in his next.
After his memories are restored, Teito struggles to reconcile his two selves, questioning whether he should remain with the church or dedicate his life to the growing movement to restore the Raggs Kingdom. The return of his memories also brings the return of Frau, now Verloren’s successor, who has kept his distance since Teito was a child. Frau wants Teito to give up the memories and lead a happy life, but Teito isn’t willing to let them-or him-go.
