The first meeting of the cast of the Vagina Monologues was today. I'm so very excited about the group and the amazing work we'll be doing together. Meagan put it well when she mentioned the possibility of having so many crushes by the end of this production!
I just noticed I haven't posted any new year's resolutions yet. So here goes:• get rid of clothes and junk that I don't use/need
• accumulate less clothes/junk
• stop biting fingernails (I've resolved to do this every year since I was 8 years old)
• start an RRSP
• write more letters
• call my family more often
• stop trying to be involved in every single form of social activism at the risk of spreading myself too thin and feeling hopeless
• exercise more
• only buy yarn when I have a project in mind
• make time for non-academic reading
• continue surrounding myself with awesome people
I've shortened up my friends list a little bit. No hard feelings; it was just too overwhelming to read so many posts a day! You understand.
My cold is still around. Lately, I've been drinking a lot of slurpees. It helps my sore throat.

PS. My sincerest condolences to all those who were close to Fara. It's so sad when such a kind spirited person leaves us too soon.
