(no subject)
well, okay. last night we went ice skating on the eiffel tower (i'm being completely serious, there's an ice rink on the first level). it was really really cool! but then i got home and went to bed and had crazy freak-out dreams and couldn't sleep all night so i didn't go to french today. moving to another country can make you feel really weird!! also, my "painting" (actually drawing) class is pretty lame and i might drop it. however, and i never thought i'd feel this way, ceramics is pretty amazing and so are all the women who teach it even though they will only speak to us in french. i already made some things on the wheel and i have plans for some pretty neat little sculptures. my art history classes are great too, especially this louvre class i'm taking. french is fun, we talk about the different words for different degrees of drunkenness, and the difference between "gai" and "gay". this weekend we're going to normandy!
basically i slept all day today, i think i need to start eating things besides bread and cheese even though it's really hard here. everything is bread and cheese, and maybe ham if you're lucky. and wine. aside from food (and most other things) being really expensive i love it here and i'm having a great time. i do really miss you all though! like a lot!
everything people say about french men is so totally true, they are weird and scary and sometimes charming and they all try to french kiss you.
