awwww, dammit
i just found out a few hours ago that budget's been cut, and my team is outta here at the end of this week. got to love the 2 day roll-off notices. oh, life as a consultant. i'm going to miss:
- 15 minute commute to work
- 8 hour days
- cool role, boss, teammates
- 'working from home' on Fridays aka shopping while hungover
who knows where i'll end up. SF again (i am keeping my fingers crossed), Boston?, LA?, Texas? i'm going to lay low next week, and enjoy some beach time hopefully.
the cool thing about being in town with out-of-town roomies, is my own apartment during the week and free weekend trips. last weekend's Seattle trip was fabulous and further cemented the fact that my girls and i are gluttonous sloths. also, Seattle is a smaller, cleaner version of SF with cute boys (but not so much cute girls), and really good weed. places to eat at: Black Bottle (tapas = yum), Crab Pot (if only for the bibs and buckets of seafood dumped on table), Wasabi Bistro (amazing salmon and sake...lots of sake), Wild Ginger (sea bass to die for). pics are up on smugmug.
come to think of it, SF is becoming more like Seattle with the NONSTOP RAIN.
