Dear Diary,
What a fabulouse weekend, but then you already know that, didn't you Diary. OK, I guess it all started on Friday, I mean that is when the weekend starts. After a two hour, titalating session of classes, I watched the Series Finaly of Dawson's Creek. And oh man, it was unbelievable, everything was wrapped up, yet nothing concluded, how do they do it? Well, I'm glad that's over, cause i was gonna explode with the responsibilty of keeping up with that, and The OC, now that, thats in session. Don't ewven get me started on that Seth Cohen, and the liying about the baby, so Days of Out Lives. Can't wait till Thursday.
I made the extreamly intellegent decesion of going to Mike's Movies and renting 6 flicks for this weekend. So after a relxing afternoon of nothingness, I started into my Movie Fest '04. First up was Rober Rodreguez's El Mirachi and Desperado. Two excellent films, both so similar, yet so very differnt. Personally I was partical to El Mirachi, the cinematography and color were something we don't see too much anymore. I can't wait to see Once Upon a Time in Mexico, finish up the series, hopefully tomorrow night. (Plus, it's got the Depp, can't wait!) Next up, and the last for that evening was Scratch, a documentery about the history of the DJ, the evolution of the scratch, and the main players in Djing today. Extreamly informational, and great music, the cinematography got old, and it dragged a little at the end, but definatly worth the watch.
After a great nights sleep, I woke up early and discovered the bacon-egg-cheese sandwich in the cafateria, and oh man, it was deleciouse, expecially with tat-or-tots and bannana-strawberry juice, mmm good. Then I headed out into the world with a mission, reocords. I took the T over the river to Cambridge. 4 hours, 4 record shops, 2 new friends and 8 new reocrds later, I was pooped. I started in Central SQ. and walked all the way down to Harvard, and from there, all the way home. I ended up along the Charles River right as the sun was setting, it was perfect, a beautiful view of the city, with the sleeping sun, perfect.
When I got home, a smaile was put on my face with the knowladge that it was fajita night, and do I love my fajitas. So after a killer Mexican delight, and no I'm not talkin about Bill, I setteled in for night two Movie Fest '04. It was a double feature evening, starting with Stanly Kubrics 2001: a space odyssey. Golly, it was slow. Very slow moving, long shots, classical music, I thought I was gonna pass out after 6 seconds. There was an intermission, I mean that's telling you something. But in the end, well worth it. The message kinda hits ya, slowly, but it hits ya. After that was Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon. I had never seen it all the way through. It was great, total martial arts classic. "What's your style?...My style, you can call it the art of fighting, without fighting." Then sleep, once again.
I started this morning with another BEC from the cafe, if its not broken don't fix it. I spent the morning listing to all the reocrds I picked up yesturday, so favorites were, a record that was the Star Wars soundtrack, funkafied, funked up the butt, it was awesome, THe Animal House soundtrack was classic, as was Fun Boy Three, kind of a mix of The Clash, with The Smiths, 80's awesomness. It was such a beautiful day, I had to skate it. I have just returned from a great session in the Commons that ended with another wonderful sun set. I was just going to rest on this hill for a second, I sit down, but on The Postal Service, look up, ans was hit with the day end. That is the best, when your not expecting it, and you just happen upon something beautiful.
And now I am here, about the finish up my Movie Fest '04 with Ghost World, Scarlett Johanson, man I can't wait. Then a little X-Men Legonds after that, and possible a night cap. Well, Diary I hope you enjoyed, and I thank anyone for finishing all of this, much respect. Goodnight...Drew
