[.do I have heartbreak written all over my face?]

Dude. I walk past so many signs for psychics in NYC and I've never SRSLY thought of going into any of them. Tonight, I walk by this sign in the neighborhood where I'm staying and see this beautiful striking woman looking out from a window. We make eye contact and she smiles and motions me to come inside. And just like that, for the first time I randomly "walk-in" to have a reading done. I was really surprised that I just walked-in like that. I've had "readings" done before but this was the first one done by a stranger. She was really warm and welcoming (kind of helpful in her profession) and the first thing she tells me before I say a word (literally, I sit down in the chair and she just starts) "You have very good energy. You are a person very blessed by god (or something to that effect) But you have had a very difficult and emotional year. You have not been sleeping well for a while. (Grace, you saw me today, did I look that tired?) You lost a young man who you loved very deeply. He hurt you very much."

Um. WTF? Yeah. Forget a gold star, lady deserves a freaking gold medal. Then she read my palm and goes on to say some other things about my life and family which were all true. So, basically the diagnosis is that things have been a little more than fucked up for me and that she can help me by lighting some candles and doing some other stuff which I can't describe as well and she can. But of course at a high cost which she was willing to discount for my poor ass b/c she could tell I needed the help. Boy, is she good. But, I politely declined because it was still spensive. I mean that's my pastry, lamb gyro, pinkberry eating, clothes buying money we're talking about. Fix my life? Pshh... I have other priorities lady. But, I've been around clairvoyants before and they have a very specific energy that I'm responsive to. She was no different in that respect. Was she trying to get my money? You bet. But do I think she read me like an open book? You bet.

Again New York, you bring me one of a kind experiences that I will never forget :)

I'm going to be living into my 90s, apparently. Gotta up my calcium intake if I want to stand a chance against that osteoporosis grandma had. Well, if I want to be able to stand, at all.

heartache, new york
