The Adventures of Hallie and Paul- Episode 666

Jun 07, 2006 03:47

Paul and I decided at 10:00 that we should go see The Omen. It was playing at 10:25. We both live about 45 minutes from the theatre, so we were both driving a little fast to meet up there at a decent time. I get there and I don't see Paul. I call him. He got pulled over for speeding. He got a ticket for it. ) : I feel so bad. So I go inside, I figure I'll pay for the tickets, since he has to pay for a different kind of ticket now. I go inside and the ladywoman says that it's too late to buy tickets for The Omen. So when Paul gets there we decide to buy tickets for X-Men, and sneak into The Omen. It's packed. We get in at 11:11, it started at 10:25. We have to sit on the stairs because there are no seats. People kept walking up and down the stairs, so we had to keep getting up, which could only be expected. Then another ladywoman comes in when the movie is just getting good, and she tells us that we can't sit on the stairs because it is a fire hazard. So we stand on the side. We stand and watch the freaking movie. Then, the ladywoman comes back and asks us and a few other people who are standing to step outside. She asks us for our tickets. We get kicked out. Now we could have gone to watch X-Men... but instead... we decided to go to Starbucks. I got lost. I couldn't figure out how to get out of that damned parking lot! So I went the wrong way, and I was so confused about where I was. Then I went the wrong way on 84, but I thought I could take the Brookfeild exit and know where I was. Apparently not. So we turned around and FINALLY figured it out. That was an hour of driving that was wasted. On the way back, a deer runs out in front of my car... I ALMOST hit it. Thank log I didn't. Then we get to Starbucks, only to find that it's closed. It was now 1AM. So we ended up going back to my house and playing Mario Party 7. What a freaking night! And poor Paul has work bright and early in the morning.

It sure was a crazy adventure though. And I'm telling you, Paul is SUCH a good sport.
