Apologies if this isn't totally coherent as it is late and I am tired. I saw Tori in Boston tonight and she was brilliant! I have seen her a lot and she never ceases to amaze! I usually love that her audiences are so respectful of the music, but, this was the worst audience I have ever seen. The two women in front of me decided to talk loudly through most of the concert. During the loud rocking songs, it didn't bother me so much, but, I nearly ripped their heads off during the T and Bo section. This is the time that the band leaves the stage and it is just Tori. She sang Merman, which is a rare treat live, and a beautiful moving song about the Matthew Shepherd tragedy. They spoke loudly through the entire song! I finally leaned forward and told them that they were being terribly rude and ruining the concert for those around them. I also added that they were being terribly disrespectful to Tori as an artist. If you want to talk about your day, do it at home. I hate when people do this crap during concerts, plays, or performances of any type. Do people not have manners anymore? Did these annoying women stop talking? No!!! ARG!!!
Anyway, Tori was in top form. Bubbly, fun, and, controversial, of course! She played for two hours and was full of such energy that it was fantastic to see and experience. Her band was fantastic, as always! I bought a shirt that says, "I don't mind dirty girls" because it amused me to no end. I also got a tote bag that says, "I believe in peace, bitch!" and a nifty shirt for R. Anyway, Tori was in top form. Bubbly, fun, and, controversial, of course! Her opening act was an up and coming artist called
Yoav. This guy is brilliant. Watching him perform was such a treat. He is an amazing guitarist! If you love unique music with dissident sounds and slightly melancholy undercurrent, you will love his music. I am a big supporter of up and coming artists and so I pass the beauty of music to all of you.
Here is his song "Beautiful Lie" (I chose the live over the official video because it is cool to watch him "build" the music):

He does a cover of the Pixies "Where is My Mind?" that is just brilliant and I posted it below. I love discovering new music!
