This Christmas is very un-Christmas-like this year. I just didn't feel it. I think it's because last year I actually bought presents for the family. This year was more an exchange of certificates. It was kinda scary because I thought it'd be great to give cousin Linda a Bath & Bodyworks Gift Certificate, but we ended up giving her a Starbucks card. Good thing, because she got me and Ellen B&B GC and she got our dad Starbucks coffee.
I was also sick for a week - it was cold + stomach problems which later morphed into sinus infection. Sinus infection is like blowing your nose forever - there's always something there XP Whenever I take a day off from work, I also don't play Wow, because Ant's computer doesn't have it and it forces me to try to be productive (researching for Justin's dorkpad).
This weekend was also the first time in a long time I've been to the Ata house. Chad gave me a bear hug and carried me, laptop, and a bottle of wine all the way to the living room. Samer got a chair that you place right in front of the TV for video game comfort (forgot what it's called). On the box cover, the oldest guy in the picture was holding a Playstation controller BACKWARDS....upon closer inspection, it's 3 people holding PS, GameCube, and X-box controller...BWAHAHA!!
We saw Girl Next Door, which was better than I expected. Then met up with TJ, Justin, and Ant the next day for Meet the Fockers, which was what I expected.
I'll now divulge a little secret: I have a mild crush on a girl I've never talked to *gasp*. Lemme back up. I found her last year when she posted in a web artist's livejournal that I frequent. I looked at her LJ icon and was like "man, this girl's really pretty...wait, is it this poster?" So I found her web site, and it was indeed her, and she likes to make costumes and cosplay. So I frequent her journal now. It's interesting, she knows people in AX I've staffed with =O. So anyways, sometime a while ago, she created her hat site
GenkiGang Hats, so this year I got Anthony an orange (manga version) of Naruto hat, Chad a bear hat, and Danny a cat hat.
That girl is also in the Cartoon Network Aqua Team Hunger Force. You may know her as the woman in purple that's dancing. She's wearing her purple Fanta costume she made.
Chad's really cute - he wore the hat all night, even to bed. Danny wasn't fun - he didn't wear it XP until I told him about the girl. Then he wear it. Boooooo.
Got a coat from Banana Republic. It's the first time I'm willing to spend $100 on this...strong...warm...coat. Then Chad & Danny said they'd pay part of it as an x-mas gift so I'm like sweet! Warm coat is keeping me warm while it's raining.
Finally used up their gift certificate for a body wrap. It was an interesting/awkward experience. The lady used a grapefruit body scrub on me, then placed the green tea and ginger mask on. When she asked me to flip over, I stuck to some of the plastic. Then I was wrapped up in plastic like a burrito. Then she gave me a scalp massage, which felt really nice, but with my longer hair, it got affroed and painful to brush afterwards. When she unwrapped me so I could run to the shower, I was freezing and shivering. I ran to the stalls, then had to run back 'cuz I went there without a towel or a new robe XP Then she massaged some lotion on so I feel soft and sticky. I dunno, the body skin does feel pretty good right now. I can see why girls buy scrubs and would probably do so in the future. I yearn to go back for a massage.
Mailed off Bernice's package yesterday. Guess what GC you have? XP
