Bitter-Sweet

Dec 03, 2005 09:07

If something is bitter-sweet, how do you handle it? I just read my mother some of my thoughts, you could say. Im always writing. Its the one thing thats keeping me sain right now. And what i share with everyone else to read is just a tiny fraction of my collected thoughts. Sure my mother is an emotional woman. Just like dona, she cries at every ending, happy or not. But my mothers tears are genuine. She cried because she understands my feelings. She understands my sadness, my excitement, my fears, my hopes and dreams.. she understands the very deepest part of my soul. We got to talking. The reality is that ever since my sisters both moved out and its only been me, my mom, and my dad, our relationship has reached different points that its never really gotten to. And thats whats bitter sweet. My sisters are not home anymore, and i cant exactly say i am all the time either, but the love between my mother and I has finally become something i can be extremely comfortable with. Ive always known my mother and i are pretty much exactly alike. I used to hate it. I used to only look at the negative things. And when i was younger, we'd constantly argue and bicker at eachother, i think because of our similair personalities. But to be honest with you, i think my mother is one of the most amazing people ive ever known, and ill be happy if i ever get to be half of who she is. Its sounds cliche, i know, but its beyond true. I cant cry that easily. But if i could, id be pouring my eyes out because i want her to know how much i understand and love her too. Thank god for words and my ability to express them.
P.S. Just a little humorous side point, I gave my mother something that i wrote for work so she could read it. She said "Your writing are really good.." Obviously, i took after someone else, huh? lol

~My event is today = ) I went at 7:00 to set up and now im gonna go get ready. Im sooo excited. I hope everything is successful.
