(no subject)
i just finished "the fortress of solitude", by jonathan lethem. wow, what a great book. i was crying at the end, half bc i didnt want it to end. wow. has anyone read his other books? i'm curious as to which i should get next.
christmas was alright. i got:
a record cabinet from a thrift store which i picked out and will have to re-varnish, a project.
some pots and pans from the antique market, turquoise-ish from the 1950's, real beautiful.
an ear made out of rubber
few books, few clothes
150 dollars
a casserole dish
some jewelry
i drove granny down from asheville. on sunday, i returned her and hung out with john mccusker and my great friend camille, who now lives in sacramento. we went to her parents xmas party and then to a bar. was chilly there.
my sister sarah gets back tomorrow from honululu. joanna is still visiting shelby and her boyfriend comes soon to meet us all. jason has made me something and it'll arrive in the mail soon. of course, i run to the mailbox 30 times each day like a deranged pesky mutt dog, occassionally biting at the ankles of the post-person, i'm not very patient. i hate to wait.
must go do something else, time to start a new book. hey, any recommendations? any top 10 records lists?
