is an owl ugly?
organizing my room is so frantic and insane. ive moved on to bookshelves, show flyers, and collected magazine pictures. packratism.
i was just thinking about this funny thing old craphead said one time, actually the night before i left. i gave him this bag of books, old books and english grammar books and everything. he tries to be all intellectual and sometimes succeeds but im sure charlie sheen can seem intellectual, too, to sad sappy suckers. anyway, there were sentences that showed how to form questions, like "are you going to the dentist's office this afternoon?", "do you have any money?", "how does one get to the post office?", and "is an owl ugly?" ???
my friend read those questions to himself and finally looked at me and asked, "is an owl ugly?? i dont know! i cant answer that question.", defeated and disappointed himself. i thought it was kind of sweet and sometimes i think, "is an owl ugly?" to myself. is a bee ugly? is a bicycle ugly? is a telephone ugly? i just cant answer those questions.
good news, two yo la tengo shows in a row coming up, one with a bunch of all-stars like mitch easter and mac mccaughan and david kilgour. should be good. wedding to play on saturday and ive lost the contract, its buried underneath some papers on the floor, must get back to cleaning. i hope you guys are doing well.
