It's Friday night. Time for a random post of musical stylings.
Alright, wtf did I just see? Playing The Smiths tag radio on last.fm and what comes up? Fucking t.A.T.u doing a cover of
"How Soon Is Now?". Really. Now, you can't expect too much from a "band" (I use that term loosely here) whom spells their name that way. Wow.
But speaking of The Smiths, I've heard that Muse does a cover of "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" that's awesome, and I have yet to hear this awesome cover. I mean, it's The Smiths, it's Muse, you can't go wrong. So, if one of you awesome folks reading this happens to have a copy or knows where I could perhaps find a copy, that would be much appreciated.
Hmm. I was listening to Marilyn Manson earlier and realized that there just must be something about industrial music that turns me on. (LOL, yeah, I know you all REALLY wanted to know that.) Like, don't even get me started w/ Nine Inch Nails. Just HOT. I mean, it doesn't hurt that Trent Reznor is like sex personified, but really, there's just something really sensual about that music. Damn.
Let's see, obsessions of the moment, both songs and artists:
- Rachael Yamagata. I can't stop listening to her, and I like her more and more every time I hear her.
- "Needle In The Hay" by Elliott Smith. Don't even ask me why I'm really digging this song right now, I just am.
-
"Starlight" by Muse. That song just kicks. I mean, there are no words to adequately describe the awesomeness that is this song.
Wow, I think that's it. I'm like super fucking tired. I'm going to finish listening to this song and then probably go to bed. Mmm sleep.
