Anyway, yes, I mentioned this to someone in a comment, but it was either yesterday or the day before, I got an email from a random person at fanfiction.net who wanted me to beta for her. And she said I came recommended. I figured someone I already beta for recommended me, but I went and looked at her NCIS story she already had up, and the only review that had mentioned anything a/b grammar was from someone whose name I didn't recognize. So unless someone else sent her a PM regarding her grammar, score, I am recognized at ff.net for my betaing skills. \O/
Heh. My facebook status is "Sherry is watching...|O| Mark Harmon! tonight." I love that inside joke. It's great. Though I care much more about my stalkee than I do about Mark Harmon...
My horrible horrible NCIS fic Breakdown has totally ruined the song of the same name by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Roar. It came on and I automatically thought of that fic and cringed. Yuck. That was not a good fic at all. I don't know why I wrote it.
And I rule b/c I totally started my Bruce/Amy manifesto and joined ship_manifesto last night. Just what I need to do, find more couples to ship. Oy. We'll see, though. But my goal is to get at least one person who has never seen Judging Amy to watch it and love it and ship Bramy. If I can do that, I will have succeeded. Of course, I hope lots of people get into it, but I'll take what I can get. And really, I realized something that's really cool & frightening & awe-inspiring all at once a/b my JA fangirling: I am probably the utmost expert in fandom for Bruce & Amy's relationship. I mean, not that I'm trying to be like, I'm awesome, or anything, but I seriously KNOW them inside out. And I seem to be the only person still writing fic for them on a regular basis. The fandom is pretty much dead, which is really sad, b/c the show should still be on, first of all, and it's just quality. It deals with real issues besides who's sleeping with who this week, and there really is something for everyone on the show - you have professional with Amy's job as a juvenile court judge & Maxine's job as a social worker, family issues with Amy & Maxine and Amy & Lauren and Amy & her brothers and everyone's relationships with each other within the family, you have friendship & romantic relationship issues all over the freaking place, professional relationships between people, there's religion, there's race, there's single parenting, there's just everything you could ask for. Gah. I don't have to say anymore. People just need to be watching the show, even if it is just in reruns. People watch movies over and over and those are basically done - why can't they do the same with shows that have ended??? /JA rant
