Music ramble? Not that there's much I didn't say the other day.
There are a few songs that keep playing on my media player, and since they're Tori or Mike or Soul Coughing, I gotta listen. It's like the law or something. I should upload them so everyone else can continuously listen to them, too. :p
Tori Amos - Precious Things. Seriously, it keeps coming on (the version I'm uploading is the version that keeps appearing, the live version from To Venus And Back), and I ALWAYS have to listen to that song because it contains the best lyrics to sing along with EVER WRITTEN. (Which would be "in my peach party dress, no one cared to tell me where the pretty girls are, those demigods, with their nine inch nails and little fascist panties tucked inside the heart of every nice girl.") Come on.
Tori Amos - Muhammad My Friend. I have heard this song like 7 times RANDOMLY in the past 2 days. It's crazy. It's like my media player forgets I have other Tori songs or something. But it is good. I always like singing, "But honey do drop in at the dew drop inn." Heh.
Soul Coughing - Fully Retractable. Once again, another sign of "Did you forget there are other Soul Coughing songs on my computer?" But I love Soul Coughing, so I'm not complaining. There are definitely worse songs in the world.
Mike Doughty - Tremendous Brunettes. Suddenly there's this huge influx of this song being played on my media player (doesn't help that I have live and album versions both of this song). But once again, definitely worse songs that could be played.
Other music ramblings? I have been obsessed with Portishead AGAIN in the past few days. I think it started the other day when I was in a shitty mood, lol. But I was starting to listen to them a lot again before that, too. And I still can't get enough of Aimee Mann. Damn. I think it's because her stuff was used SO MUCH on Judging Amy (one of her songs was totally at the end of the first episode that was on today), so her stuff reminds me of that show. *sigh* I've been listening to a lot of her stuff lately, obviously. Like I keep hearing "Frankenstein," which is a great song. Hmm, let's see, any other obsessions of late? Been listening to a lot of Rufus Wainwright and Jeff Buckley on last.fm. I don't really know know their songs yet, but they're not bad to listen to.
I really want to watch the new episodes of NCIS and Top Chef. I'm so bored.
