D'oh! odakota_rose inadvertantly reminded me that I didn't post my episode reviews of today's JA eppys.
Episode one = "REQUIEM"! (Capitalized to show my love.)
+x more than numbers could ever say First of all, FAVORITE EPISODE! Seen it like 100 times, but never get sick of it.
+ Maxine calling up the stairs @ Amy to go to bed. That is so something my mom would do.
+ Maxine singing!
+ Amy: "And I'll be sleeping in dirt." Heh.
+ Bruce & Donna in Amy's chambers. Donna: "Bruce & I were just noodling over your docket... Bruce was noodling. I was...co-noodling?" I ♥ Donna so much.
- Bruce so wanted to know where Amy was going & she just blew him off. He looked so sad.
- Maxine just got the news. :( Kills me every time, & not in the good way.
- Stupid (thanks to odakota_rose for the fantastic derogatory nickname) is totally taking Amy out to the woods to KILL HER!
(I just want to see the next to last scene RIGHT NOW!)
(I don't even know how to comment on SO MANY of these scenes. I've seen this so many times, & it's just so heartbreaking that it's hard to make these decisions.)
(And, if Tyne Daly didn't win an Emmy for this episode/season, wtf is wrong with the Emmy committee.)
+ Donna freaking out a/b death. So her.
+ Gillian: "Did she at least yell at you?" Amy: "Yeah." Gillian: "Thank God." Ha, only Maxine would yell @ ppl & it'd be a good thing.
+ THE MEMORIAL SERVICE! Everything a/b it is perfect.
+ LAUREN'S HAIKU!
"Jared Duff was tall.
He smelled like rain in the yard.
He laughed at my jokes."
Now, I want to write a haiku like that. Especially the second line.
- Stupid didn't even TRY to comfort Amy or anything. He was just concerned a/ b making out. Bastard.
+x the most fangirl love possible THE SCENE!!!!!! Seriously my favorite scene in JA history. I could watch it over & over. So much to love a/b it: Amy hadn't cried until Bruce showed up; she just launched herself into his arms; and STUPID SAW THE WHOLE THING!!!!!! Best scene ever.
+ Maxine cutting her hair = ♥.
(And those two scenes totally make me want to like Norah Jones. But I don't.)
Second episode = "Picture of Perfect"
+ The return of Winky!
+ Maxine to Winky: "My finace died of a heart attack 2 weeks ago, 48 hours before we were to be married. Also, I've cut my hair." Oh, such a Maxine comeback.
+ Maxine: "What was that?" Sean: "That was Kimberly trying to be sympathetic." Maxine: "Wow." Sean: "Yeah. It's been a long 2 weeks." I almost feel bad for Kimberly b/c she's such a bitch.
+ BECKY WAHLSTROM! Aka GRACE POLK from Joan of Arcadia, one of the best TV characters EVER!
(I've always wondered how big Hartford really is & if there are as many delinquents as the show makes it look like. Anyone have any idea?)
+ Kyle to Lily: "And you LOVE the way I say nasal dorsum, don't you?" Haha, way to flirt, Kyle. And then, the other doctor: "Why don't you two jump each other & get it over with?" Ooh, everyone can see it.
- Where the hell are my Bramy scenes? I mean, I can't keep interested in eps w/o Bramy scenes. Come on.
- Kyle/Lily fight. :(
That's all. My throat hurts. Looking forward to 3 hours of journalism tomorrow....
