So I have recently discovered the joys of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee....WHICH I LOVE! lol.
....talking to my friend in New York who goes to Laguardia High School...they are doing Ragtime...he showed me pictures of the set...I died and asked what the budget was for their school to put this show on.........OVER 100,000 dollars.....YES THAT MUCH MONEY! I am WAY jelous! OH and anyone wanna go with me to see the show?! Good luck finding seats! look for yourself! www.laguardiahs.org look at the seating charts for the show!...yeah!
Well moving on from my rant. I am finding Turandot to be extremely challenging! I am having to use my "Romaticism voice" which is large and fake and make me tired! lol. I am not used to it, but I like it. And my physical person it very upright and at the ready ALL THE TIME! Its extremely interesting and I like it alot! But again its very challenging which I am really enjoying!
And for my audition next week I am doing a monologue from "Take Me Out" and I LOVE IT! It is an accountant (gay) who is describing WHY baseball is THE PERFECT metaphor for hope in a democratic society, its very funny and VERY me (although it is not a character I have ever played, so that is why I like it so much)! lol.
Amanda and I perform at conference our duet....KINDA NERVOUS! But more excited than anything!
