so I'm staying home from school today because my throat hurts real bad and I've got this nasty cough (the kind that hurt your chest). Also we have a history test today, and it's not that I'm staying home because I don't want to take it, because I'm not too worried about it, it's just that I know that if I was at school taking it, I'd be so distracted by being sick and feeling crappy that I wouldn't be able to think.
I kind of wish I could be at school, though. I hate missing core. Especially since we're probably starting Gatsby today and starting the new colloquium and of course the test which I'll have to make up.

so we had the debate tournament this Saturday, which went pretty well. It kind of sucked losing 2/3 rounds (we won't discuss the third one lol) but the fact that I'm volunteering to do public speaking is enough. It's getting easier and easier which is such a relief because that's like my biggest fear.

After the debate tournament, my sister and I baked 2 pumpkin pies (one tofu: disgusting), 3 loaves of pumpkin bread, 24 mini pumpkin muffins and 36 (approx.) peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips in them. Pretty satisfying. I love baking since you can only really do it this time of year

Sunday I went to my sister's church with her (New Vintage). It was all right, but I think too casual for me. The singing was all electric guitar/drums/ concert style, which is cool but especially at Christmas time it's kind of nice to have real hymms and more formal. Then the sermon was preached by a guy just wearing blue jeans, which kind of threw me off.

Sunday evening went to the creche festival with Jessa, which was really cool. There were some pretty cool nativity scenes and the choir was really pretty (especially after going to said church service in the morning).

Next weekend I'm going to December Fest at westminster woods. I'm so excited to go back there and just get away from school and everything. Especially with the constant reminder from all the teachers that finals are coming, it'll be so good to just get away.
