sooooo workcamp was amazing...! I'm not going to give a play by play - that just can't be accomplished - but it would be much better to talk about it face to face because that would do just a little bit more justice, even though it wouldn't come close! it was probably the best experience of my life thus far and i realized a lot of things - i don't know if they'll take effect right away, but i think they will effect a change over the long term. i've gotten to know people who i didn't know before (haha, talks until 1 am and 5 Am runs and 110 degree heat in the shade...wouldn't trade it!) and found a lot of respect for people i already knew, got to know better, and/or just met. our resident is an incredibly strong woman and she's wonderful! my crew was absolutely amazing and workaholic. the programs were inspiring and just awesome. i don't even know how to describe it. sure, there were a few times that i had to shake my head and smile or just leave it be -not b/c of workcamp things but b/c of the antics of some people - but hey, you get that everywhere and it wasn't too bad - nothing to dampen the experience, so that's okay! i will daresay it was life-changing. wow. i'm so happy and content and psyched all at the same time! yay!
