Ok this may be old news for some *S* but was just checking out info on the new Foo Fighters album due out next week... and saw the track listing, then this article... awesome, cant wait to hear it *S*

Foo Fighters Pay Tribute to Beaconsfield Miners

Dave Grohl will include 'The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners' on the next Foo Fighters album.

Speaking to Billboard, Grohl admitted that he was "in tears" when he heard that the two trapped Tasmanian miners had requested an iPod with Foo Fighters music on it while they awaited rescue. After the men were brought to safety, Grohl made good on his promise of concert tickets for them.

When one appeared at a Foo Fighters show at the Sydney Opera house, Grohl was moved to write something for the pair. He told Billboard, "I came up with this little instrumental thing. After the show, we went and got f*ckin' wasted in the hotel bar and I was like, 'Dude, I promise I'm going to put this on the record.'"

True to form, 'The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners' is slated to appear on Foo Fighters' sixth studio album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace', due for release on September 25. New York busker-cum-solo star Kaki King guests on the track, in a banjo finger-picking style. Grohl said, "I showed it to her once and she shredded it ten times better than I've ever played it."
