[Filtered to Slytherin Students except Draco]
As you all know, a great wrong has been done to one of our own. There are plans among some of you to replace some of Draco Malfoy's family possessions, both by buying some of the smaller items and by replacing some of them with new ones. I believe that these efforts are heartfelt; however, I have another idea that may increase the success of individual efforts.
I have a finite but generous source of funds available to me. Perhaps some of you do as well. I feel confident that if those of us with both the money and the desire to assist Draco pool our resources, more can be accomplished. I'd like to compile a list of those willing and able to help Draco in this manner. I'll also need to make a tally of funds available. We need to do this quickly.
Slytherin House has been trod upon for far too long. We have a chance now to stand in solidarity with our Housemates and prove ourselves.
Draco Malfoy is a crime victim, yet he is being treated by many (though not all) of his schoolmates as a criminal. If Slytherin House can stand in solidarity behind him, we will be accomplishing two goals: restoring to Draco some of what has been stolen from him, and showing that Slytherin house is neither heartless nor without loyalty. Most importantly, Draco has been a friend to many of us. I believe it's time for us to show him and the rest of the Houses that Slytherins know what friendship means.
