Everything You Want to Hear
Okay, so chapter two of the story I posted yesterday is finished. Any input, guys?

In one look from you, you told me everything. The way your eyes swept past my shell and stared straight into my soul, it made me feel like everything is going to be alright for the rest of my life. Even now, hours later, I’m still trying to catch my breath.
As glorious as that look may have been (and glorious it was), I know that your heart lies somewhere else. I am nowhere near deserving of your affection. You’re so far out of my league, I don’t even know what league you play in.
I am happier than you will ever know that you condescended so far as to look at me, and give me that moment of bliss. That you were willing to lower yourself to my level, to grant someone so far below you happiness at the expense of having to acknowledge my existence, is a show of your kind heart. Selfless, you are, and generous and kind and beautiful and loving and everything else.
Just give me the chance, and I’ll tell you everything that you are and everything that you aren’t and everything you want to hear. Tell me what you dream of, and I’ll make your dreams come true. But you’ll never give me the chance, and it wouldn’t be fair of me to ask you to, anyway.
One day, maybe, I’ll tell you my name. And then I’ll tell you what your name should have been, what you want it to be. And I’ll tell you what colour your eyes are, and how kind your heart is, and everything you want to hear.
But not today. I’ll wait forever.
