Title: A Change of Heart

Author's Note: I've never written a Slytherin character before, so thoughts a very welcomed!
"You know you want to."
Padma Patil turned to gaze at her Slytherin counterpart, unsure of how exactly the friendship with the redhead started or why she had sought her out for advice. Shaking her head she tried to laugh off Daphne's suggestion.
"I'm not going to do that to Anthony," she replied, voice with less conviction then normal.
Daphne picked up her books. "Fine then," she said forcefully. "But unless you do something about Goldstein you might just catch him shagging another girl instead of snogging." She stood, careful to examine the now deep in thought Ravenclaw as she pretend to read a bit of text for their assignment.
Padma opened her mouth to suggest another solution to her boyfriend woes, but nothing came out. Daphne turned on heel, smirking to herself now that her face was out of Padma's range. She had planted the seed of getting even in innocent Padma's mind, and she couldn't be more pleased.

The light from the fire place was casting shadows on the couples face, though neither seemed to mind. It was late, they should have both been asleep in their beds, but the late night rendezvouses that were now an almost nightly event. Theodore held Daphne's face in his hands as he pulled away, tugging lightly at her bottom lip. Her eyes fluttered open as she gazed upon him, swollen lips evident even in the barely lit common room.
"Daphne, I -" he began, but was cut off of her hand making contact with the back of his head. With a roll of her eyes she began to make the way to her dormitory.
"I told you never to talk," she said as she reached the stairs. Theodore looked at her, disappointment written on his face. "Same time tomorrow night. And don't be late."
