Title: Settling
Character(s): Daphne Greengrass, Draco Malfoy
Pairing(s): Draco/Daphne, Draco/Astoria
Rating: PG-13
Challenge(s): Futile.
Word count: 100.
Author's notes: Daphne's futile love for Draco, Draco's futile hopes for a normal name.

The next morning, Draco wasn't entirely sure what had happened the night before. He vaguely recalled Daphne, a bottle of Chianti and whispered conversations: "Daddy won't let me marry you, so I'll have to settle for …"
And he couldn't remember if she'd said sex or revenge.
"Please," Daphne whispered in his memory, "Let me be godmother. Let me name your first born."
Then she'd kissed him, and he would have agreed to anything.
Later at the wedding reception, Daphne had asked him for a dance. "I like Scorpius," she smirked.
"Scorpius?"
"It's that or Harry."
And she danced away.
