The smooth, velvet cushioned chair creaks under her weight. She tries to wince. She'd rather not think about how old it is, but if it's as old as the other stuff in parents' house....
She picks up her cup of tea and sips it gingerly. She wrinkles her nose. Too sweet. The silly maid put too much sugar in it again.
She never understood why her parents hired three more maids. They already had seven or eight of them. She sighs inwardly. It was troublesome, since she couldn't keep their names straight.
Why did they all have blonde hair, anyway?
