The distinctive crack of Apparition startled him out of his haze. Lucius stormed toward his bed. Abraxas smiled, reaching out weakly, “Son.”
“What were you thinking!” Lucius shouted. “If you’d just gone to a healer, they’d have caught it in time.”
He shook his head, and growled, “But it’s all about pride with you, isn't it?” Lucius’ voice cracked, “You rotten, stubborn...”
Abraxas could no longer hear him. He was gone.
